I’ve always been fascinated by ancient Egyptian culture and artifacts. This canopic jar combines my love of the octopus and an artifact meant to preserve precious bodily organs for the afterlife. I thought, why not make something that can be used to preserve memories, or milestones, in one’s life? Or maybe it can be used to bury things best left in the afterlife and not cluttering up one’s day to day existence.
